multiplicity (partition)

Let λ be a partition. We sometimes abbreviate as

\lambda=(1^{m_1}, 2^{m_2}, \dots) $$ This means that there are $m_r$ (multiplicity (partition)) copies of $r$. ## Examples ![Pasted image 20260307175042.png](/img/user/images/Pasted%20image%2020260307175042.png) ## Properties - $m_i(\lambda)=\lambda_i'-\lambda'_{i+1}$ (where the prime is the conjugate partition) # References # To do
